7 Questions And Scriptures About Your 2013 Goals

It’s time for a checkup.  I’m not talking about a physical for your body or a tune-up for your car. . .I’m talking about determining where you are on your goals for 2013.

I was led to write seven questions to provoke your thinking and allow you an early course correction to your priorities for this year.

I can tell you with absolute certainty that God does not want you wasting the opportunities He’s giving you to make a difference in your life, the lives of your loved ones and whoever else He brings you into contact with.

WARNING:  IGNORING THIS TEACHING WILL BE HAZARDOUS TO YOUR SPIRITUAL HEALTH.

You will be held accountable on Judgment Day for not fulfilling or even pursuing the things God has laid on your heart to accomplish.

James 4:17 in The Living Bible says:

“Remember, too, that knowing what is right to do and then not doing it is sin.”

I strongly encourage you to allow the Spirit of God to minister to you as your read these seven scriptures and questions.

1.         Having the right goals will energize your life and faith.

Proverbs 3:21-22 in The Living Bible says:

“Have two goals: wisdom-that is, knowing and doing right-and common sense. Don't let them slip away, for they fill you with living energy and bring you honor and respect.”

How much progress have you made in accomplishing your goals this year?

2.         Make sure your goals line up with the Word of God and God’s Word for you.

3.         Your accomplishments will always be greater when you have a specific timeline.

4.         God can and will help you overcome every obstacle that life or the enemy throws in your path.

“For the Lord shall be your confidence, firm and strong, and shall keep your foot from being caught [in a trap or some hidden danger].”        

What is the number one obstacle you face in accomplishing your # 1 goal in the six major areas?

Job 8:6-7 says:

“If you're as innocent and upright as you say, it's not too late — he'll come running; he'll set everything right again, reestablish your fortunes.   Even though you're not much right now, you'll end up better than ever.”

When He comes running to your assistance. . .He will often give you a divine connection.

Who is the one person that can help you achieve your number one goal in the six major areas?

7.         Never ever give up.

Luke 18:1 in the New Living Translation says:

Maintaining a record of your progress will often motivate you to even greater success.

You’ve got to know where you’re at. . .to get where you’re going.
